The NFL announced that the Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles Week 15 matchup on Sunday, December 20 will be moved to NBC’s Sunday Night Football.

Additionally, the Cincinnati Bengals at San Francisco 49ers game will move to a 4:25 PM ET start on CBS and the Buffalo Bills at Washington Redskins contest will remain at 1:00 PM ET, but will move from CBS to FOX.

The NFL uses “flexible scheduling” on Sundays in Weeks 11-17 to ensure viewers see quality matchups in all NFL Sunday time slots and gives teams a chance to play their way into a primetime or national late-afternoon time slot on CBS or FOX.

For each flexible scheduling week with the exception of Week 17, the NFL announces the start times of games on Sundays no later than 12 days prior to that weekend. To ensure a Sunday night game and doubleheader games with playoff implications in Week 17, flexible scheduling decisions for that Sunday can be made on only six days’ notice.
