NFL clubs begin on-field preparations this week for the 2022 season. The Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders have rookies reporting today, but the Raiders have veterans reporting on Wednesday and will be the first club to have its entire team on-site.

The defending Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams have rookies and veterans reporting on Saturday.

On July 19, rookies from eight clubs will report: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants and New York Jets. Other than the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams, veterans will report Tuesday, July 26.

On Saturday, July 30, all 32 clubs will hold practice with club-led fan events. July 30 will be branded as Training Camp: Back Together Saturday presented by Wilson, with NFL Network covering beginning at 9 a.m. ET.

Beginning on August 10, 24 clubs have scheduled joint practices with other teams. The Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the eight that will practice against multiple opponents, along with the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans.

Seven clubs will be spending camp away from their facilities – Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Excluding 2020, 25 clubs (78%) opting to stay home this summer. Teams considered to be staying home hold camp at their respective practice facility, home stadium or at a site within 10 miles of their team headquarters. In 2000, only 10 of 31 (32%) teams stayed close to home.

The number of NFL teams that stayed home for the entirety of training camp since 2000:
