Nick Pappas, field director for the NFL discusses the field preparation for Super Bowl LVIII. The all-new natural grass surface installed on a retractable tray outside the stadium will be prepared and tested leading up to the game, which will be played on February 11, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“We have brought in a brand-new grass field. We are working through all of our standard testing procedures that take place from installation all the way up through the day before the game," said Peter O'Reilly, NFL Executive Vice President of Club Business, International, and League Events. "The natural grass surface is installed right now and we have a great team maintaining it as we head towards the Super Bowl.”
